Tim’s totally got a house all set up for us to move into!!
It’s only renting for now, until he knows just how stable his position at the studio is, and until he has enough money saved up to put a proper down-payment on buying a house in the middle of nowhere, in BC. We are hoping to eventually find a nice place in the mountains/woodsy areas, where we have enough property to keep all of the dogs and make a totally cool enclosure, much like this one, here. Linked from The Wolf Dunn. Rather neat site with a lot of wolfdog hybrid info, and cool stories with lots of photos. :)
Anyway, Tim was trying to get this place for the beginning of March, but it’s looking like the people who are currently living there won’t actually be out until the end of March, so we’ll be moving in on April 1st! Which means that for the month of March, we’ll be put up in a temp apartment, (which thankfully will allow me to bring the dog) but it will totally be worth the additional month wait!
The house is in Squamish, about an hour drive north of Vancouver. Tim took a few photos of the place:
This is the view of the road from the house. It was so very trippy even being in the city of Vancouver, and looking up to see mountains!
This is the house. :) It’s green. ^^ *wags!* The guy who owns the place is still working on renovating the bottom level, and so we’ll only be living on the top level. The guy is only there on weekends to do work, though, so for the most part the place will be all ours. And not to mention QUIET, which will be a HUGE change from the apartment that Tim is currently living in, where the walls are paper-thin. O.o
View from the front porch window. There is also a porch/deck type thing in the back of the house.
Our “backyard.” Woods that offer a little hiking trail to a stream. Totally kickass! ;-P~
Just a pic of the inside living room area, and part of the kitchen. And yes, that is a freakin’ wood burning fireplace! OMGFIREPLACE!!! The apartment has three bedrooms, and two baths (one bath in the master bedroom). Tim’s comment was: “Too bad the place is ONLY for rent!” It is a nice house though, a nice area, and only a short drive into the main town. This won’t be our permanent place, but at least we can relax a bit and not worry about rushing to find a good house to buy. Tim wants to be sure that everything is stable enough before making such a big jump.
Bonus: our landlord apparently loves dogs, and has no problem with me having Zee there. Tim is going to start working on him to let him fly Rascal out sooner, too. ;)
So, I am totally excited, yo! X-D Will probably start shipping my stuff out by ground mail next week. More updates and art pictures stuff soon, bai!!!
