Jessie T. Wolf
Major Psycho Headache...|
I have to agree that his constant harping on how things make him _feel_ instead of how his actions may be disrespectful, wrong, and presumptuous, as a rationale for outlandish behavior, makes him more like Ganador than he'd like to admit.
Garnering sorrow and sympathy, hoping you go through the hell of another bad relationship so he has a "shot" at you, and trying to tug on your feelings by bringing up suicide as a means of manipulation is a very devious form of selfishness.
He's self-admittedly mentally ill and it's worthwhile to cut ties and not look back.
You just have the worst luck with dragons, sweetheart. *kiss*
You know what I say to people who threaten suicide?
"What are you waiting for?"
It's mean, yes, but I have no sympathy for people who threaten suicide. If they want to kill themselves, they should just do it.
I remember the funniest "suicide" story I'd ever heard. I have a group of friends who live in Madison. They'd taken in one of these nomadic leeches of humanity that won't support themselves, in the hopes of giving him a leg up on the way to bettering himself.
Well, we all know how that goes.
So, they turn into the kind of person that says things like "this may be my last con" and various phrases that hint of suicidal tendencies. One day he left a suicide note to his roomates and disappeared. His friends left the apartment and went all over the city looking. Hours later, they return and find him on the sofa eating some Taco Bell, with the excuse that he couldn't find a building tall enough.
People who really want to commit suicide usually just do it. People who want attention usually just talk about it.

[If they want to kill themselves, they should just do it. ]
If they wanted to, they would -- and do. Usually there are warning signs for true suicidal ideation (giving away prize possessions is one shining example) but those who are serious don't grandstand or provide numerous opportunities for people to come rushing "to the rescue." They just do it. Ask most any family that has had a suicide -- they'll say there were signs (in retrospect) that things were building but that the act itself took everyone by surprise.
Anybody who "threatens" suicide, especially with such oh-so-coincidential timing as has been repeatedly demonstrated against Jessie... well, it is little more than somebody attempting to exert control. This is a pretty classic case of using guilt, fear and 'forced responsibility' as a lever to garner attention and to hold her captive.
Congratulations, Jessie. You called him on his behavior. With luck he'll get the hint and slink off without further drama.

[Anybody who "threatens" suicide...]
Jay said it much more succinctly than I did, before I did. I should read the comment threads more thoroughly before I stab that "reply" button.
Well said! What is it with you and psyco clingy dragons? ^_~ Squish! Squish him like a bug! Online relationships are only text deep. This is why I now keep my im off most of the time and all strangers blocked.

Zip up your leather mask and get back in the trunk.
