My portion of rent and utility bills: $235
Cell phone bill: $137
Public transit pass for the month of December: $136
Groceries to last the month of December: $100
35 pound bag of puppy food: $50
I now have $3.00 to my name, but I feel great knowing that everything's taken care of. I also got approved for that consolidation loan that I applied for a few weeks back, which is AWESOME! So now my two credit cards and my line of credit can all be paid up in one lump sum each month, with a lower interest rate. I have to pay $550 on the 16th of every month (which beats the $700-$800 I was paying before!). So basically I'll be reserving every paycheck I get on the 15th of the month to my consolidation loan, and whatever extra cash is left over from that paycheck I'm going to put in a tax-free savings account, which I'm going to open in the New Year.
I've also got a few training and boarding gigs lined up this month. Started working with a 12 week old German Shepherd puppy last Sunday, and this Sunday I'm supposed to be working with a 4 month old Golden Retriever. I'll also be boarding a 14 week old Cockapoo puppy over Christmas and New Year's, which is a $600 job right there. I am so thrilled... this bit of extra work is really going to help me out, along with the consolidation loan, I can finally start to breath a little easier now. Hopefully I'll soon be able to pay back a couple friends who I owe some money to as well.
*sighs* There seems to be no end of stress when you're living from paycheck to paycheck. But honestly, even if I don't have any money right now, at least I'm still happy to have a roof over my head and a ton of new groceries, so I can start cooking meals again! If there's one thing I hate, it's going hungry.
