PUPPIES!!!
They're here! Luci and Jango's pups were born today between 8am and 12noon. Two males (woohoo!) and four females. :) Luci's owner is keeping a female, I'm taking the two males, and he's got tentative homes for the other three females already. With any luck, one of the two males will be my kennel's foundation Dog for future litters of J-Force Rottweilers. Jango's going to be a great role model for training the pups. OMG, I'm so excited! ^____^ Pictures to come soon!

Happy Jango

Happy daddy! :D

I think you'll like him, even though I know Rotts aren't really your fave breed. :-P Jango has that kind of endearing durpy attitude similar to what Leo had, but minus the hyperactivity. :3 I'm going to do my best to bring him out to TO in June when I come to visit.

Yep. I'm actually hoping to start my own line in the next few years. The male I'm keeping I am hoping will be my foundation Dog. There are a lot of Rottie fanciers out there who love the breed, but who don't necessarily want (or can handle) a dog that is 110lbs and over. Jango's Sire is around 130lbs. So I want to develop a smaller sized Rott, (less than 100lbs) that is a mixed lineage of American and German lines. Jango's Dam was American and his Sire was German. Jango has the leaner American look, and Luci is the stockier German look. The combination actually makes for a pretty nice tempered and nice sized dog.

I'll eventually get a breeding female, when I have more space to properly set up a good kennel. I'm going to keep just a small kennel, and only breed once a year... maybe even once every two years. And I will be keeping all natural tails on them.

Mahrkale's really excited.

Did you want us to come out sometime early to see them? She'll have to work it around her work vacation time, most likely.

When is her vacation time? I'll be going out to Toronto for the first two weeks of June, but if Mahrkale can plan her vacation for around the end of June, that would probably work out the best. If you can stay for at least one week, I can do some one-on-one lessons with you and show you how to continue the training with your puppy (at that point her pup will just be turning 5 months old). That way you can bring your pup home with you when you fly back. I'll get an airline-approved kennel for you and everything. :)
